The R.A.T. 9 is a tweaker's dream. It has three different palm rests that can be sat at different distances from the mouse's body, three different pinkie rests, an adjustable thumb rest. Ideal configuration is the rubberized palm rest set close to the mouse body, the rubberized pinkie rest, and five weights to give the mouse some heft without making it sluggish. While adjusting the mouse, the plastic mounting arm that holds the bottom part of the thumb rest broke. Besides the basic mouse buttons, the R.A.T. 9 has a sensitivity rocker below the scroll wheel, a mode button left of the left mouse button and Precision Aim buttons on the thumb rest.
Its two battery packs and included recharging station mean no downtime. Its unique looks make a statement, it boasts strong build quality, and it features useful button functions.
